The Cultural Service at the Consulate General of France in Chicago is proud to announce the second edition of Films on the Lake in partnership with the Chicago Park District.   

As part of the Chicago Park District’s 17th annual free outdoor Movies in the Parks, presented by Bank of America, Films on the Lake series present A Monster in Paris at Harrison Park on July 29 as part of the Fiesta del Sol festival, in partnership with the Consulate General of Mexico and the National Museum of Mexican Art.

Free and open to the public.

8:15 | Film Screening 

Free cheese provided by Bel Brands USA and samples of Mexican cuisine will be offered. Bring your own chair or blanket. In case of rain, the film will be rescheduled. 


A Monster in Paris | Directed by Bilbo Bergeron | 2011 | Animation | PG | 90 min. | France | In French with Spanish subtitles

Paris, 1910, Emile, a shy movie projectionist and Raoul, a colorful inventor, find themselves embarked on the hunt for a monster terrorizing citizens. They join forces with Lucile, the big-hearted star of the Rare Bird cabaret, an eccentric scientist and his irascible monkey to save the monster, which turns out to be an over-sized but harmless flea, from the city’s ruthlessly ambitious police chief.
