Of Women and Horses

Gracieuse (Marina Hands), is an equestrian who trains young horses and is painfully forced to part with them when they are eventually sold. She yearns to have her own horse. When legendary trainer Franz Mann (Bruno Ganz) introduces Gracieuse to the sport of dressage, she has to restart her career. But talent alone is not enough to combat the personal intrigues and the economic realities of the international horse world and its unique culture. And, to complicate matters further, Franz is cynical and recalcitrant, tired of being a lackey for the tough horsefarm owner, Josephine de Silene (Josiane Balasko).
