From May 13 through 31, the Gene Siskel Film Center, in partnership with UniFrance Films and the Cultural Services of the French Embassy, presents Young French Cinema 2017a series of six Chicago premieres that showcases emergingFrench filmmakers.

The predominant thread in this 2017 selection is the globalization and diversification of French cinema. With a wide array of international settings, languages, and ethnicities, these films demonstrate that Young French Cinema is becoming more and more a cinema without borders.
