This moving political drama begins on a quiet note. Amin, a successful surgeon living in Tel Aviv, in honored to be the first Palestinian recipient of a prestigious Israeli medical award. His wife Siham is out of town but he eagerly awaits her return to share the good news. The tension ratchets up when Amin, fully assimilated into Israeli society, is called into the hospital to treat the wounded from a restaurant bombing. To his horror, he finds that his wife is among the dead. Amin is shattered, but simply can’t comprehend it when he is hauled in for questioning by the police as a possible accomplice. What follows is a compelling odyssey into the heart of the Palestinian Territories, where Amin will try to understand how his wife’s devastating secret remained secret for so long.

The Attack has taken 3 prizes at the 17th edition of the City of Light – City of Angels (2013) including Audience Award and the Special Critics' Prize.
