Beauty and the Devil [La Beauté du Diable] (1950), René Clair's fantasy film based on the Faust myth, starring Michel Simon (Boudu Saved from Drowning, L'Atalante, Port of Shadows, etc.) and Gérard Philipe (Fanfan la Tulipe, La Ronde, Riptide, etc.), will run at Film Forum from Friday, August 2 through Thursday, August 8 (one week) in a new restoration.
