Join the Film Society of Lincoln Center as they present, for one week only, an essential work from one of cinema’s true masters.

Alain Resnais’s enduring cinematic puzzle, Last Year at Marienbad, won the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival in 1961. Since then, it has consistently mystified, hypnotized, and ensorcelled audiences everywhere. Its set-up is simple, its plane of existence is not. A man and a woman meet at an elegant chateau. Have they encountered each other before or is this the first time? Is the meeting real or is it imagined?

Runs in New York from March 7, 2014 to March 13, 2014

Restored 35mm print screened for one week only at the Film Society of Lincoln Center
