Alexandre Desplat finally won his first Oscar

The eighth time is the good one for French composer Alexandre Desplat as he finally won an Award for Best Original Score. The French composer won the Academy Award for his The Grand Budapest Hotel's soundtrack. He was also nominated for the Imitation Game's soundtrack. It was the eigth nominations for Desplat. He has been nominated over the past years for The King's Speech, Argo, Fantastic Mr. Fox, The Queens, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and Philomena.
