Audrey Tautou to Host Cannes Ceremonies

French actress Audrey Tautou (of Amélie fame) will host the opening and closing ceremonies of the 66th Festival de Cannes. She will welcome the jury president, American director Steven Spielberg, on the stage of Grand Théâtre Lumière on May 15th and host the award ceremony on May 26th.

Audrey Tautou stars in Michel Gondry’s latest film Mood Indigo, which was adapted from Boris Vian’s novel L’écume des jours. She plays the part of Chloë, a woman who has a flower growing in her lungs. The film also stars Romain Duris and Omar Sy (soon to be seen in X-Men: Days of Future Past) and will premiere in France on April 24th.

Festival Director Thierry Frémaux is expected to unveil the full festival lineup on April 18th. Stay tuned !
