Awards for France from New York Film Critics Circle

December 10, 2013 | By FRENCH CULTURE FILM

Every year at the beginning of December, the New York Film Critics Circle, a group of critics from daily and weekly newspapers, magazines and online publications, gathers to vote on the best films and performances of the past year. They are the first group in the country's long award season to vote and announce their results. Their choices often indicate future Academy Award nominations and winners.

This year, a French movie and a French film professional have been recognized by the NYCC: Blue Is the Warmest Color received the “Best Foreign Language Film” award, and Bruno Delbonnel won “Best Cinematography” for his work on Inside Llewyn Davis.
