English-language TV Drama Series VERSAILLES on Canal+

On stand-by for the past two years since the resignation of screenwriters André and Maria Jacquemetton (Mad Men), the French TV network Canal+ is reviving Versailles, the English-language period drama series, set at the court of French king Louis XIV, under the direction of the British writer-producers Simon Mirren (Without a Trace, Criminal Minds) and David Wolstencroft (Spooks), alongside the executive producer Anna Thomopoulos (Borgia). The production of the first seasion in 12 episodes is slated to start in early 2014, and will be broadcasted exclusively in France on Canal+.
