Lyon's Festival Lumière Launches the First Classic Film Global Market Place

July 23, 2013 | By Myriam Laville

On October 16, 17 and 18, the very first Classic Movies Marketplace will take place during the Festival Lumière in Lyon (France), at the Cinema Village, located on the Rue du premier film.

Le Festival Lumière has become a meeting place for film professionals, especially those associated with classic movies. In 2012, 650 professionals attended and the Festival is expecting many more this year. Reflecting a strong desire to support repertory film, the festival is launching the first classic film global marketplace this fall to bring together industry professionals from around the globe and thus stimulate exchanges in this field.
