Three French Films were selected to screen at the Hip Hop Film Festival, which took place from August 3 to August 6 in Harlem, New York: Swagger by Olivier Babinet, Brooklyn and Beatbox BoomBap Around the World by Pascal Tessaud.

The director Pascal Tessaud received two prizes for his feature film, Brooklyn:
> He won the Award "Best Foreign Language Film".
> KT Gorique won the "Best Actress" Award for her performance in Brooklyn.
