Spideo iPad App: Instant Movie Discovery

March 20, 2013 | By French Culture

SPIDEO is a new, free iPad application created by the eponymous French firm that allows its users to find what movie suits them best. Thanks to its “Wishes Discovery” tool, it offers personalized picks and recommendations based on the user’s mood. The algorithm even permits combining categories to suit their precise movie watching wishes. For instance, if you’re on a date, you might want to tap romance and action and you’ll end to watching True Lies. If you want to have fun while learning at the same time, you can also combine History, Laughs and Politics. SPIDEO will then propose the most relevant titles and you’ll be redirected to the iTunes store to watch them.

SPIDEO intuits the user’s likes and dislikes to recommend thousands of movies and TV shows that they wouldn’t have thought of otherwise. Users can also create personalized playlists and share their most watched selections with friends on Facebook.
