Lorraine Levy

Director Lorraine Levy was a screenplay writer for television (mostly comedies) before starting her film career. In 2004 she wrote and directed her first feature film, The First Time I Was Twenty, starring Marilou Berry, which won the Best Screenplay Award from the Premier Plan d’Anger Festival, as well as the Sopadin Award for Best Screenwriter.

In 2007, she directed the film adaptation of her brother Marc Levy’s best-selling book My Friends, My Love, starring Vincent Lindon and Virginie Ledoyen.

She returned to television with a comedy written for French network TF1, Un Divorce de Chien!, starring Elie Semoun, which won the Best  Original Screenplay Award at the La Rochelle Film Festival in 2010.

The Other Son, starring Emmanuelle Devos and Pascal Elbé, is her third feature film, filmed entirely in Israel and the West Bank.
