Call for Projects: Brooklyn Falls for France

The Cultural Services of the French Embassy is teaming up with the vibrant Brooklyn community to present a Francophone cultural season from September 2019 to January 2020.

Brooklyn Falls for France will offer a multidisciplinary program of cultural events gathering theater, dance, music, visual arts, cinema, literature, new technologies, and the culinary arts. The events will take place in Brooklyn and will be linked to French-speaking cultures.

The call for projects is now open through May 22, 2019. Individual grants of up to $5000 will be distributed to projects selected by a committee.  In addition to financial support, grantees will be included in all Brooklyn Falls for France related communications.

Please note that if your project is not selected for a grant but checks all the eligibility criteria, you may still be eligible for a listing in the official Brooklyn Falls for France program.

      Eligibility

      • Projects will begin between mid-September, 2019 and January 31, 2020
      • Projects will be presented in Brooklyn
      • Projects will be related to French-speaking cultures
      • Projects must be of cultural nature: theater, dance, music, visual arts, cinema, literature, performance, culinary arts, etc.

Projects already supported by the Cultural Services of the French Embassy are not eligible for this call for projects. They may, however, be labeled as part of the Brooklyn Falls for France season, and be listed in the official program.
