The Tournées Film Festival

  • 1 - SELECTING THE FILMS: 5 + 1
Choose a minimum of five films from among the Featured Films or the Alternative Choice titles, plus one Classic, and prepare a tentative schedule for the screenings.
Films are in French with English subtitles (unless otherwise noted).

Films must be acquired through their official distributors and must be shown in either 35mm or digital. Not all films are available in all formats, so choose according to both your projection equipment capabilities, and the availability of the films. Since digital format is generally available later than film, we encourage you to check our website on a regular basis for updates on releases.
Please note that The Tournées Film Festival grant does not cover films shown on VHS or Netflix, or any other media meant for home viewing.

Films are in French with English subtitles (unless otherwise noted).

  • 2 - APPLYING:
    Complete the Online Application.
Be as detailed as possible about your proposed festival and screening dates. If you receive a grant, we realize that the dates and film selection that you initially choose may change and we simply ask that you provide us with the updated information. Please explain why you are interested in this program, if you will be working with other academic departments, and if you already show foreign films on your campus. Collaboration with other departments is strongly encouraged.

We have simplified the application process with a unique deadline on: May 26, 2017.

Participants can expect a decision on their application by late June 2017, and can then plan their festivals any time during the 2017-2018 academic year. Festivals must conclude by June 30th, 2018.
