Editions Volumiques at the Bronx Museum

November 3, 2016 | By Suzanne Buracas

On Oct 24-29, 2016, French artists Etienne Mineur and David Calvo led a series of game workshops with students from The Salome Urena School (IS218) at the Bronx Museum of the Arts.

The program, initiated by the Cultural Services of the French Embassy as part of Kids Trail, and conceived in collaboration with the Bronx Museum, introduced 8th grade students to the various aspects of performance and appreciation of board games, from their conception to their creation.

Their prototype was then presented during an event open to all at the museum, where kids and adults alike enjoyed fun and innovative games created by Etienne Mineur's studio, Les Editions Volumiques.

Editions Volumiques is a studio that invents, designs and develops new innovative games and toys, centering on the relationship between the tangible and digital.

Special thanks to the Bronx Museum of the Arts, Patrick Rowe and Mary Agramonte.
