When she is not busy being featured in the Showcase series The Affair or earning top honors at Cannes for her role in La Double Vie de Véronique, Irène Jacob loves to sing. And when she sings, it’s with her brother, Francis, and his band.
Join the party for an evening of jazzed up chansons françaises with a true French star…

About the artist:
Irène Jacob gained international recognition and acclaim through her work with Polish film director, Krzysztof Kieślowski, who cast her in the lead role of The Double Life of Véronique and Three Colors: Red.
She has always had a connection to music and has recorded with the National Jazz Orchestra, French star Vincent Delerm, Brazil's wonder kid Ricardo Tete, among others.
Together with her co-composer and virtuoso guitarist brother Francis, their music is rooted in the French gypsy jazz tradition, but punctuated by a world beat influence delivered by  Senegalese bassist Mamadou Ba and percussionist Alioune Faye who round out the quartet.
The North American tour comes on the heels of the release of their second album, "En Bas de Chez Moi (Downstairs at My House)" courtesy of Sunnyside Records.

Price: Members of the Providence French Alliance $25 / Non-Members $32

Complementary appetizers and Cash Bar for cocktails
