LA FEMME is back and will perform at the Beach Goth Festival on October 23d and at the Regent Theater on October 25th!

The band began in coastal surfing town Biarritz before moving to Paris. Influenced by 60s French yéyé music as well as by American bands such as the Velvet Underground, the French band is naturally drawn to California, its surfing culture and its ecletic music scene, especially psychedelia, electro, and punk infused surf.

LA FEMME won the Victoires de la Musique award for 'Album Revelation'  in 2014 with Psycho Tropical Berlin, described as “a melting pot of strange, hypnotic and mental moods (Psycho), sunny, positive vibes and beachy surf (Tropical); and cold, binary electro (Berlin),” by keyboard player Marlon Magnée. “We like to use the name of a town as an adjective or concept; such as Berlin for a cold mood, London for a weird mood, or L.A. for a peaceful mood.”

French surf-pop band will release its new album on September 2d. Stay tuned and catch the wave!
