Mark your agenda! World-renowned pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet will be performing at the Walt Disney Concert Hall with the LA Phil and French conductor Stéphane Denève.

Thibaudet will be playing “The Mysteries of Light”, written specifically for him by composer James MacMillian. The Scottish composer has built a concerto/tone poem on the Catholic ritual practice of the Rosary specifically for Thibaudet. French Conductor Stéphane Denève concludes the program with two French works: Fauré's Pelléas and Mélisande and Debussy's La mer.


French pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet’s musical career traces for than thirty years during which the musician has played in multiple countries, and has recorded over 50 albums, all ranging from solo camber, and orchestral repertoire - from Beethoven through Liszt, Tchaikovsky, Grieg, and Saint-Saëns; to Ravel, Khachutaurian and Gershwin. Thibaudet additionally marks the contemporary scene, playing composers such as Qigang Chen and James Macmillan. Thibuadet’s musical talent has earned him two Grammy nominations, Preis der Deutschen Schallplattenkritik, the Diapason d’Or, the Choc du Monde de la Musique, and the Edison Prize.
