Ceci N’est Pas… Webisodes

Since last December, the Ceci n'est pas project has presented numerous exhibitions, performances, films and discussions highlighting the connections between art in France and Los Angeles. In order to document some of these events, and share them with viewers outside of LA, they have also produced a series of short webisodes.

The most recent installment, number six in the series, includes clips from the inaugural Dialogues: Art and Architecture Between Paris discussion, interviews with filmmakers and academics working with the recent Politics in Art Forms project, and an exploration of the Slavs and Tatars exhibition. If you're in Los Angeles, make sure to catch the next installment of Dialogues: Art and Architecture Between Paris and Los Angeles on April 16.

Watch the sixth Ceci n’est pas… webisode is here.

This episode features a clip of the first discussion of Dialogues: Art and Architecture Between Paris and Los Angeles, with architect Francois Perrin and artist Marie Jager.

Highlights from the recent project Politics in Art Forms follows, containing interviews with professors Anurima Banerji (UCLA), Michael Renov (USC) and film director Bryan Gunnar Cole.

The final portion of this webisode focuses on Redcat’s recent exhibition Slavs and Tatars, with a presentation by Payam Shariti.

Dialogues: Art and Architecture Between Paris and Los Angeles will hold two more discussions on March 27 and April 16, along with an exhibition at ForYourArt April 2-16. The opening reception will be held on April 2.

Hope to see you there!
