Le Corbusier: Interview With Moma Curator, Jean Louis-cohen

This past summer MoMA hosted the first major exhibition of the work of the architect Le Corbusier. CUNY TV talked to the curator of the exhibition, Jean Louis-Cohen, who explains why this show devoted to, arguably, "the greatest architect of the 20th century" was so significant. Le Corbusier, Cohen explain was the first architect to work on a truly international scale, with projects around the world. He was also instrumental in defining large-scale modernist architecture. However, as Cohen explains, his life and work have not often been explored by American museums until now. MoMA's show offered American viewers the first chance to see the architects full range of work from his architectural models to his paintings, drawings and even writings.
