Creative Sport: A Poster Order Around Graphic Design And Sports

The Graphic Design Festival started in Paris on January 11, 2017, and for the occasion, the poster order "Creative Sport" by French collectives Frenchfourch and Stéréo buro will be exhibited between Jan 11 and Feb 22, 2017, in Paris, London and New York at the same time on street furniture thanks to a partnership with French outdoor advertising corporation JCDecaux.

The Graphic Design Festival committee chose 19 posters to be exhibited in Paris that will also circulate on 80 digital frames in the center of London and New York. Collectives  Frenchfourch and Stéréo buro are residents from the Paris Print Club, a place dedicated to hand-crafted and artistic creation of printed items. This order appears as a way for them to highlight unusual artists and let them express themselves around the thematic of sports.

Their reading of the thematic hinges around the questions of fraternity and rivalty, exploring the inner values of sports - respect, fair-play, competition, fighting - that are opposed to each other but also complementary, in moments as strong as ephemeral. A theme that reminds the poster itself, as an ephemeral place of expression where a match is set between the reader and the visual.

The following artists have been selected by Frenchfourch x Stéréo buro:Raphael Garnier (Paris – France), Julia (Londres – Royaume-Uni), Hort (Berlin – Allemagne), Horstaxes (Strasbourg – France), Super-Structure (Bruxelles – Belgique), Lomé Lu (Paris – France), Studio Jimbo (Paris – France), Pol-Edouard ( France), Pierre Vanni ( Paris – France), Johnson / Kingston (Luzern / Bern – Suisse) , Jérémy Piningre (Paris –  France), Spassky Fischer ( Paris – France), Tamás Ál (Budapest – Hongrie), Paul Loubet (France), Geriko  (Paris / Bruxelles, France / Belgique), Adrien Frégosi (Sète, France), The Rodina (Pays-Bas), Twice (Paris – France), Sera Yong (Séoul – Corée du Sud), Marta Veludo (Amsterdam – Pays-Bas).
