The Mémorial de la Shoah is pleased to announce the inauguration of its touring exhibition "Hélène Berr, A Stolen Life" at the Scottsdale Community College in Scottsdale, AZ in conjunction with the "2015 Genocide Awareness Week." The exhibition runs from February 27-May 15, with an opening reception on March 9th. 
 
The official inauguration and reception will happen on Monday, March 9th from 6-8pm with a special lecture by Dr. Michael Marrus, a Professor Emeritus of Holocaust Studies from the University of Toronto. 
 
Also in attendance will be: 
Jan Gehler, President of Scottsdale Community College
W. J. Lane, Mayor of the City of Scottsdale
Gerrit Steenblik, Honorary Consul of France in Phoenix
Jacques Fredj, Executive Director of Mémorial de la Shoah
 
This exhibition was designed, created, and distributed by the Mémorial de la Shoah in Paris, France (curators Karen Taieb and Sophie Nagiscarde), with the guidance of Mariette Job (niece of Hélène Berr), and made possible through the generous support of SNCF.
This presentation was made possible through the support of the Consulate General of France in Los Angeles, the Embassy of France in the United States, East Valley JCC, Jewish Federation of Greater Phoenix, Alliance Française of Greater Phoenix, and SNCF.
