Born in Paris in 1963, Marion Bataille is a creative author-illustrator and a pioneer in pop-up books. A graduate of Ecole supérieure d'arts graphiques in Paris, she started as a freelance graphic designer and a collage illustrator, beofre becoming Artistic Director for the cultural magazine Télérama.

Her 3D alphabet book was first published as Op-Up and presented at the Nigel Greenwood Gallery in London; it was then discovered by the publishing house Albin Michel, and became an international best-seller under the title ABC3D. With Ten, (Roaring Brook Press, 2011), and Numero (Chronicle Books, 2013), Marion Bataille continues her visually dazzling work on typography and numbers.


Marion Bataille will be in Atlanta this month as part of her US Tour to present Workshop AOZ – Marion Bataille at the Little Shop of Stories in Decatur.

AOZ is a cut-out typography and collage workshop. During the workshop, attendees will learn to create pop-up art centered on the alphabet. Appropriate for all ages (Adults and children welcome). FREE and OPEN to the public.
