The French Consulate in San Francisco, in partnership with the French American Cultural Society, offers the possibility for artists from the Bay Area and the Pacific Northwest to exhibit their art at the French Residence in San Francisco, for a period of four months!

Artists are invited to submit their proposal by e-mail, before September 26th, 2016, 6pm at events@facs-sf.org

A selection committee will examine all applications and announce the selected artist(s) by September 28th, 2016.

The selected artist(s) shall be available for the exhibition installation on Saturday, October 1st, 2016 at the French Residence in San Francisco.

The first reception in the presence of the French Ambassador is scheduled on October 5th, 2016. The selected artist(s)’ work will have great visibility from October 5th, 2016 to January 31st, 2017, considering the large number of events organized at the French Residence.

Proposals should include the following:
Artist statement and bio: maximum one page
A selection of 10 to 15 artworks to be exhibited: paintings, drawings, photographs
For each artwork : pictures and dimensions

The artist(s) will bear all costs linked to the exhibition (framing, installation and other related expenses). Part of proceeds from sales will benefit the French American Cultural Society. The French American Cultural Society’s mission is to promote, develop and support French American cultural and educational projects. The FACS is an independent, non-partisan, not-for-profit qualifying tax-exempt organization as described in section 501 (c) (3) of the United States Internal Revenue Code.
