From March 1-6, 2017, Art fairs will be on stage in New York. The Armory Show, Independent New York, and Spring/Break Art Show will be the occasion to meet French galleries in New York.

Starting March 2, The Armory Show is New York’s premier art fair and a definitive cultural destination for discovering and collecting the world’s most important 20th and 21st century artworks. The following French galleries will be represented during the fair: Galerie Bernard Ceysson, Galerie Bugada & Cargnel, Galerie Daniel Templon, Galerie Franck Elbaz, Galerie Georges-Philippe & Nathalie Vallois, Galerie Jérôme Poggi, Galerie Kamel Mennour, Galerie Laurent Godin, Galerie Galerie Michel Rein, Galerie Mor Charpentier, Galerie Nathalie Obadia, Galerie Praz-Delavallade, Galerie Suzanne Tarasieve, Galerie Thaddaeus Ropac.

This year's edition of The Independent New York will feature over 40 international galleries and non-profit institutions. Among them, Galerie Hervé Bize, Galerie Christophe Gaillard and Galerie Perrotin will be present.

Spring/Break Art Show also returns for its sixth annual art fair during Armory Arts Week. This internationally recognized exhibition platform uses underused historic New York City spaces to activate and challenge the traditional cultural landscape of the art market. On this occasion, curator Cynthia Sley presents “ gutter gleaners “, a solo exhibition by French artist Brigitte Engler. First presented in France in 2016 as a work in progress in collaboration with a French government environmental agency, the work is published by the artist in February 2017 on the occasion of her participation in “ Black Mirror” at the Spring/Break Art Show 2017.
