600 HIGHWAYMEN in Paris

February 20, 2015 | By Robin Guivarc'h

Under the name 600 HIGHWAYMEN, Abigail Browde and Michael Silverstone construct expansive performances that illuminate the inherent poignancy and theatricality of people together. They explore a radical approach to making live art and constructing events that create intimacy among a group of strangers.

Their play The Record created in 2013, where 45 strangers come together for 61 minutes, and who appears in the New York Times' best stage memories from 2014, is now on tour. Thanks to the Centre Pompidou‒Les Spectacles Vivants and a grant from FACE Contemporary Theater, The Record will be presented in Paris at Parc de la Villette on March 24 and 25, and at Centre Pompidou on March 27 and 28.
