Arsenal Contemporary in New York with Isabelle Kowal

May 8, 2017 | By French Culture Arts

Arsenal is a private art center promoting dialogues between contemporary artists working in Canada and internationally. Established in Montreal in 2012, it is the largest private art center in Canada. In 2014 the project expanded to include a location in Toronto. Since its inception, Arsenal’s programming has been driven by renowned artists, presenting them often for the first time in Canada, while promoting dance, performance, lectures, and housing guest projects, including biennials.

In February 2017, Arsenal Contemporary opened in New York where they will continue to show curatorial projects with emerging and established artists across disciplines, co-directed by Isabelle Kowal and Loreta Lamargese.

Current exhibition from May 3-July 2, 2017 features Hannah Perry's work in 'Viruses Worth Spreading'.
