Hugues Reip's project, during his residence in New York (November 2013)

In 2014 the French Institut launched a new artist-in-residence program in visual and digital arts. The two months residency, which can be located anywhere in the United States, is reserved for French artists who have previously collaborated with an American Institution (art center, gallery, museum, etc.) in order to develop a project together.

Among last year's grantees, Ewen Chardronnet went to California where he conceived a transmedia website linked with a lecture-performance; Tal Isaac Hadad went to Massachusetts to explore sound experiments; Christine Rebet created a performance named In The Soldier's Head in New York.

The application deadline is April 3, 2015. More information and application guidelines here.
