French photographer Valérie Belin is the winner of the 6th Pictet Prize for her series entitled "Still Life" (2014), awarded to her by Kofi Anan, former UN Secretary General (1997-2006) and Honorary President of the Pictet Prize at the Musée d'Art Moderne in Paris. Sir David King, President of the independent jury and British Foreign Affairs minister's representative for climate change, selected Belin's photographs representing consumption goods disposed as vanities and "memento mori”.

Created in 2008 by Pictet Bank, the annual photography prize rewards 100,000 Swiss francs (85,000 euros) to works that generate debate and reflection about challenges related to sustainable development. Belin’s winning series was exhibited in Pictet Prize Disorder at the Musée d'Art Moderne de la ville de Paris.
