Interview with the French gallerist Christian Berst
Paris-based gallerist Christian Berst has opened a new space on Rivington Street in New York City, with a group show entitled Do The Write Thing: Read Between the Lines. Known for his passion and dedication to art brut, Christian Berst aims to continue his quest for gems and the expansion of this specific market in America, together with gallery director Phillip March Jones, and gallery associate Daniel Klein. We visited Christian the day before the opening on October 30th, 2014 to ask him about the meaning and future of art brut, as well as this first group show, while the white paint was still fresh.
