NEW YORK, October 1, 2016 – Each month, Albertine Books, the reading room and bookshop within the French Embassy in New York, hosts a number of free events with French and American thinkers and authors. This month will feature a conversation with Christian Boltanski and Violaine Huisman (Oct. 3); a French story hour for kids with Flore Pouquet (Oct. 8); a discussion on François Mitterrand with Laure Adler and John Rick MacArthur (Oct. 11); reflections on how to U.S. has evolved in the past 50 years with Maurin Picard (Oct. 18), a conversation with Siri Hustvedt and Florence Noiville (Oct. 20), a discussion with Alexandra Schwartz and Lola Lafon (Oct. 28), and to celebrate Halloween, an event for kids around Magritte’s work (Oct. 29)!
