Digital Content Manager

The Cultural Services of the French Embassy in New York are seeking a Digital Content Manager to spearhead our social media strategy as well as collaborate on website administration and various digital and graphic design projects. 


Social Media 

  • Craft strategies (paid and organic) for and produce all posts to be published on the Cultural Services’ and Albertine Books’ social media channels including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok with support from Communication Department intern(s).  
  • Develop brand guidelines for the accounts mentioned above.  
  • Create static and motion graphics using Adobe Creative Suite and Canva Pro for social media campaigns; source and edit photos; and write compelling copy. 
  • Coordinate with colleagues in 10 offices across the U.S. as well as external partners to craft content that offers visibility for our projects and programs. 
  • Engage and interact with our social media communities. 
  • Liaise with influencers and brands to ensure maximal visibility and growth of the accounts. 
  • Produce regular social media performance reports. 

Web and Communications 

  • Manage or assist with content editing and production for FrenchCulture.org, Albertine.com, and other sites operated by the Cultural Services.  
  • Collaborate with Communications Department staff on website updates and provide technical and editorial support to colleagues in offices across the US. 
  • Serve as the in-house graphic designer for small projects as needed (adapting existing templates for reports, invitations, etc).
  • Collaborate on or manage any projects related to digital communications as needed (from video production to newsletters) 


Professional Skills

  • 3-5 years of experience managing social media accounts for cultural institutions or brands
  • Strong knowledge of the social media landscape and intricacies of most-used platforms 
  • Strong writing and graphic design skills 
  • Familiarity with website management from both a technical and editorial standpoint 
  • Existing relationships with relevant influencers and social media mangers at cultural institutions is a plus 


  • English: Native language/bilingual (read, written, spoken)
  • French: Full professional proficiency (read, written, spoken)
