We're excited to announce the one-year anniversary of the inauguration of Villa San Francisco!
Over the past 12 months, Villa San Francisco has created a transdisciplinary dialogue between artists and the Bay Area's communities, hosting 15 artists in residency and producing or co-producing 27 different events, even in the time of COVID. Villa San Francisco paved the way for the nationwide Villa Albertine, which will be inaugurated this fall, by leading a future-driven dialogue between artists and communities. Villa San Francisco is proud to connect artists to a powerful network and offer them alternative ways to create and dialogue, push boundaries, and bring artists and innovative communities together to shape tomorrow's world, respecting diversity, equality of opportunity, and solidarity.
Since its launch on August 25, 2020, Villa San Francisco has hosted 9 local residencies and 4 cross residencies, 11 online events led by local artists in residence, an exhibition, 3 screenings, 6 conferences, and 6 performances. As part of the Villa Albertine network, Villa San Francisco will continue to engage artists and communities in a wide-open dialogue on the future.

Villa San Francisco would like to thank its partners, the Cultural Services of the French Embassy in the United States, the Consulat General of France in San Francisco, the French American Cultural Society, and the Institut Français in Paris.
