Albertine Prize 2018

Now in its second year, The Albertine Prize is a reader's choice award for French literature in English.

Showcasing the diversity and inventiveness of contemporary French-language writing, the five books nominated for this year's Albertine Prize map a literary journey that encompasses a Congolese orphanage in the 1970s (Black Moses, Alain Mabanckou); a young man’s sexual awakening in a French factory town (The End of Eddy, Édouard Louis); artistic rapture in the Middle East (Compass, Mathias Énard); and interior explorations of love (Not One Day, Anne Garréta) and violation (Incest, Christine Angot).

HOW TO VOTE
Voting takes place online at Albertine.com through May 1, 2018. Participants may vote once for one or more of the 2018 shortlisted titles. Voters must provide an email address and vote from within the United States in order for their vote to register.  Voters are not required to read the entire selection of the books and they may vote for one or several titles.
