Radio Live by Aurélie Charon, Caroline Gillet & Amélie Bonnin

Radio journalists and producers Aurélie Charon and Caroline Gillet have travelled extensively over the past few years to Algiers, Moscow, Tehran, Istanbul, Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and a number of other cities in Europe, to interview youth from different socio-economic backgrounds and hear their thoughts about everyday life and their hopes for the future.

They created Radio Live, bringing these voices together on stage to share personal stories and revelations. Joined by illustrator and videomaker Amélie Bonnin, they combine for a unique radio-performance that frames moving conversations about harnessing the power of social change within a lively and experimental setting.

Coming for the first time in the United States, at FIAF as part of Crossing the Line Festival in New York, and at Princeton French Theater Festival, Seuls en Scène, Charon and Gillet will bring together their contemporaries in an attempt to paint a portrait of a new generation of change makers. For this special iteration of Radio Live, Ines Tanovic-Sijercic, a Bosnian War survivor will be joined in Princeton by students, and then, in New York by two NYC-based activists.

Aurélie Charon's book C'était pas mieux avant, ce sera mieux après is available to L'Iconoclaste Editions.

Estimated running time: 1 hour, 45 minutes / In English

For Ticket information, please check the respective sites of FIAF and Princeton University.
