POSTPONED: Occupy project #1

© Occupy project #1

From February 13 to March 13, French-Greek curator Eirini Linardaki will invite 28 artists to take over spaces of the Consulate General of Greece in New York opening a dialogue between the artists and the staff of the consulate. The resulting works will occupy the spaces the staff work in on a daily basis. Among them, 13 French artists based in NYC will participate in this unique initiative.

This form of occupation aims to question the nature of the presence and role of art in a workplace focused on public service and administered by personnel who represent Greek culture.
