Discover the digital edition of the Lyrics Arts Festival d'Aix-en-Provence 2020

Since 1948, the Festival International d'Art Lyrique d'Aix-en-Provence has been encouraging the musical scene. The current health crisis has been welcomed as a new challenge to rethink dialogue with the public. Therefore, this year, the Festival d'Aix-en-Provence has adapted its program to the digital stage.

From July 6th to 15th, you can participate in all the unmissable events offered by the Festival.

Each day, an interview dedicated to a lyric artist, director, composer or conductor introduces the artistic events and theme of the day. A lunchtime debate is then held to discuss the current issues affecting both the artists and the festival in general. At 1PM (EDT), the digital stage offers a recital or a concert especially prepared for this 2020 edition: meet, for example, Christian Gerhaher, Gerold Huber, Jakub Józef Orliński, Magdalena Kožená, Sabine Devieilhe, Mathieu Pordoy or the London Symphony Orchestra. This sequence is followed by the broadcast of an opera that was part of the Festival's program in previous years. Among these emblematic productions, you can discover Pelléas et Mélisandre by Claude Debussy, Elektra by Richard Strauss or Requiem by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart!

If you missed the beginning, live events and replays are available on the Festival's website: https://lascenenumerique.festival-aix.com/en/programme
