Live from her studio in Paris, children’s book illustrator Kris Di Giacomo is bringing her colorful universe to Tilt for the first time.

During this 30-minute live workshop, we’ll examine the world through the perspective of pigeons. We’ll compare and contrast the ones who live in New York with their cousins in Paris, and we'll reveal some of their secrets and dabble in techniques of anthropomorphism (a fancy word for giving animals human characteristics).

You will need:

  • Drawing tools (colored pencils, markers, crayons, or paint brushes and paint…): gray, black, orange/red
  • A brown paper bag
  • Scissors & a glue stick
  • A sheet of paper or cardstock
  • Optional: an eraser
