The River

The American Cinematheque is screening Jean Renoir's The River on March 8 at the Aero Theatre. 

This moving portrait of an English girl coming of age in Bengal is based on the novel by Rumer Godden. Directed, written and produced by Jean Renoir, it was nominated for two BAFTA awards and was the first film to be shot on location in India using three-strip Technicolor.

Please note: The River will follow the 7:30 pm screening of Wes Anderson's The Darjeeling Limited.  This double feature is part of the WES ANDERSON & FRIENDS series at the Aero Theatre.
