Tour: Turn-of-the-Century Paris

The Norton Simon Museum, home to a beautiful collection of French art located in Pasadena, California, will be hosting an informative French art history tour entitled “Turn-of-the-Century Paris” on September 30, 2018.

The museum’s impressive European collection includes masterworks from the Renaissance to the 20th century as well as a variety of other collections from around the world. French artists in the collection include famous artists from various time periods such as Édouard Vuillard, Edgar Degas, and Jean-Honoré Fragonard for example.

The one hour tour, which will take place from 1-2 in the afternoon at the museum, will be lead by a museum educator to discuss the history behind the vast collection of artwork from the turn of the 20th century in Paris, France.

The tour will dive deeper into the history of Paris in this time period to explain the histories of the diverse group of French and foreign artists alike living in Paris during this time period.
