Waiting for Godot

Samuel Beckett’s absurdist tragicomedy Waiting for Godot returns to Atlanta’s 7 Stages after a 15 year hiatus. The compelling story of Vladimir (Didi) and Estragon (Gogo), who spend their days and nights waiting for the mysterious Godot, was first performed in 1953 at the Théâtre de Babylone in Paris. With this play, Beckett forever changed the course of theatre and how it influences the social, political, and personal aspects of human life.

The show is directed by 7 Stages Artistic Director Heidi S. Howard and features 7 Stages founder Del Hamilton in the role of Vladimir and Don Finney as Estragon. Both actors reprise their roles from two previous 7 Stages productions of the play.
