Join the John Fowles Center for Creative Writing at Chapman University on April 22, 2019. They will be inviting French journalist Christophe Boltanski as part of the 2019 Literary Arts Reading Series. 

Every year, the Center invites a group of writers from various countries whose work addresses a particular theme for the year. This year, the subject is about the Holocaust and French novelist Christophe Boltanski will be speaking on his novel A Safe House.  

Already into its second decade, the Center has invited national and international writers including: Nobel Laureates Wole Soyinka and Mario Vargas Llosa; Salman Rushdie; Lawrence Ferlinghetti; Charles Bernstein; Edward Albee; Alain Robbe-Grillet; Maxine Hong Kingston; Raymond Federman; Steve Katz; David Antin; Dacia Maraini; Luisa Valenzuela; Elias Khoury; Erri De Luca; Gioconda Belli; Raúl Zurita; Karen Tei Yamashita; Lucian Dan Teodorovici; Zufikar Ghose; Giuseppe Conte, Isabel Allende, Giorgio Pressburger, and Claudio Magris, among many others.

The reading will be hosted in Beckman Hall 404 at 5 PM. Christophe Boltanski is a French journalist, writer and chronicler, laureate of the Prix Femina for his novel La Cache in 2015. Be sure to attend this FREE event which is open to the public.
