Call My Agent! by Dominique Besnehard and Fanny Herrero

Nothing is better than a good TV show to help us cheer up and escape our reality. Several of the best French comedy TV shows of the past few years are available on Netflix. From a Cold War spy parody to a talent agency comedy, there is something to suit all tastes.

Find our selection of French comedy and feel-good series below!

A Very Secret Service  (Au service de la France)

1960: the French intelligence service hires the 23-year-old André Merlaux. Handsome, well raised, intelligent but impressionable, Merlaux has much to learn to serve and defend the interests of France. Three officials must train him as Merlaux discovers the intricacies of government and navigates diplomatic incidents. The series recalls OSS 117: Cairo, Nest of Spies in style and tone, although it is slightly more serious. French bureaucracy, misogyny and colonialism are all parodied, with a little romance thrown in for good measure." (The New York Times)

Call My Agent! / Dix pour cent

Welcome to a top Paris talent firm, agents scramble to keep their star clients happy – and their business afloat – after an unexpected crisis. The show features real stars as clients of a fictional Paris agency so enjoy discovering Oscar-winning actor Jean Dujardin (The ArtistMöbiusThe Wolf of Wall Street) or Nathalie Bayle (Catch Me if you CanIt’s Only the End of the World) in a new way!

Family Business

Joseph Hazan dreams of launching his own app, not taking over his dad’s butcher shop. But a tip from an acquaintance gives him a flash of inspiration. "With a quirky humour, some genuinely funny jokes and a group of charismatic characters at its core, Family Business is a surprisingly heartwarming and well written comedy." (The Review Geek)

Mythomaniac (Mytho)

It started as a stretching of the truth. Just a temporary measure to make her feel seen again. The problem was, it worked too well. Mythomaniac received the Best Actress (Marina Hands) and the Audience awards at the International TV event Series Mania last year.

The Hook Up Plan (Plan Coeur)

Elsa, a Parisian, can not forget her ex. Her best friend secretly hires an escort boy to help her move on but the plan works a little too well. Plan Cœur greatly delivers on the romance, a healthy amount of awkward comedy!

Kids also deserve something to watch on Netflix :

Oggy and the Cockroaches (Oggy et les Cafards)

Wimpy blue cat Oggy would like nothing more than to snooze, but he’s constantly bothered by three ugly cockroaches who have invaded his home. The show started airing in 1998 and continues today to make people laugh worldwide.
