US & French Connection: Call for Projects Extended Until June 4th

The call for projects for the annual US & FRENCH CONNECTION program has been extended to June 4th, 2021 at midnight EST. The call is organized by French In Motion in partnership with the Gotham Film & Media Institute (formally IFP), Séries Mania, the CNC and the Cultural Services of the French Embassy in the United States.

French projects (narrative feature films, series and documentaries), selected based on their decks and scripts, will have the opportunity to get introduced to American producers and distributors during personalized meetings at Gotham Week, the only international co-production market in the US.

One of the projects selected and introduced to the American market as part of the program in 2017 was nominated for Best International Picture at the Academy Awards earlier this year.

For more information on eligibility criteria, please find the full details here.

ABOUT

Gotham Week is the only international co-production market in the US. It gathers producers, filmmakers, distributors, agents, and sales agents (Netflix, HBO, Amazon, Sony, A24, FilmNation, etc). The exclusive forum connects the filmmakers who are selected for their projects to industry reps and buyers. 100 projects will be selected out of 1000 domestic and international submissions of movies, TV series and documentaries. Film Week alumni include Debra Granik, Andrew Haigh, Barry Jenkins, Dee Rees, Robert Eggers et Denis Villeneuve.

US & FRENCH CONNECTION, is a year-round program created by French In Motion and The Gotham (formally, IFP), two organizations based in New York that bring together film professionals and talent. The program is designed to help creatives with international projects in development or production find partners on both sides of the Atlantic.
