The 2nd edition of the Dance Films Catalogue with five more titles is available now!
Dance and cinema have a long shared history thanks to their common interest: the motion of bodies and energies. With today’s enhanced digital video technologies and the current restrictions on international exchange, dance is reimagining itself in many different spaces, diving into archival material and creating new forms.
The Dance Films Catalogue aims to promote the work of choreographers, dancers and directors. It is a resource for Dance film festivals, Arts centers, and Universities to discover new works, new artists and present them.
It features films and documentaries by and with artists of various backgrounds.

The Dance Films Catalogue is a project of Villa Albertine in partnership with the Cultural Services of the French Embassy in the United States and Institut français, with support from the French Ministry of Culture, and several French institutions such as Centre National de la Danse (CND), Maison de la Danse as well as organizations based in African countries such as Studios Kabako, Kisangani, RD Congo.
