About Between Gestures:

In October 2019, the Cultural Service of the Consulate of France in Chicago and the Goethe-Institut Chicago come together to celebrate and explore dance and performance in Europe, its context and history, in partnership with multiple Chicago venues and organizations.

Two European cultural institutions, the Centre national de la Danse in Pantin, France, and PACT Zollverein in Essen, Germany, will join them to create a multifaceted program (performances, workshops, talks and debates, screenings) bringing internationally renowned and groundbreaking artists and experts to Chicago.

Between Gestures has been made possible thanks to the support of the German-French Cultural Fund. The aim of the fund is to promote Franco-German cooperation abroad by supporting cultural and artistic projects carried out jointly by the diplomatic missions and cultural institutes of both countries in close cooperation with local actors.
